Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized surgical assistance within the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room), supporting surgical teams during complex procedures. Ensures adherence to sterile protocols and maintains a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and surgical equipment for procedures, ensuring all supplies are ready and sterile.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during cardiovascular surgeries by passing instruments and managing supplies.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Monitor and document surgical supplies and equipment usage, notifying the team of needs or discrepancies.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, ensuring optimal patient care during surgical procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing emergency support as required.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of scrub tech experience in a surgical setting.
• Be able to start on or after October 5, 2026, without prior certification requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control practices.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
