Our Investment Technology and Performance (ITP) group within the Investment Office (INVO) is responsible for overseeing data and technology used to manage the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) and Affiliate Funds, and drive our CalPERS mission. ITP is seeking an Investment Officer (IO) III to serve as a senior lead on the Investment Office Data Platform team. IO II candidates will also be considered, with responsibilities aligned to the appointed classification.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Support and advance the Investment Office's enterprise data platform, including its data architecture, modeling structures, governance capabilities, and operational processes that enable trusted access to investment data across INVO.
• Partner with investment asset classes, Investment Operations, governance bodies, and technology teams to translate investment business needs into well-governed, high-quality, and scalable data capabilities, with the IO III providing senior leadership in this work.
• Advance trusted investment data through business-driven data modeling, lifecycle management, governance, and supporting tools, while enabling investment office teams through organizational change management for adoption, transparency, and data literacy across the Investment Office.

Telework Information:

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.
