Hospitalist NP/PA Locums – Nags Head, NC

A hospitalist program in Nags Head, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locums coverage. This role focuses on admissions, consults, and co-management of ED holds and admitted patients.

Opportunity Details:

Coverage Dates: May 4 – Sept 4 (potential extension)
⏰ Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 2 PM – 10 PM

Facility: The Outer Banks Health Hospital

Key Highlights:

✔ Established hospitalist team with 2 physicians & 4 APPs
✔ Average census: 17-21 patients
✔ Daily patient volume per APP: 8-10
✔ Admissions per shift: 4-6 (day), 5-7 (night)
✔ No critical care responsibilities
✔ Codes response required (but no ED coverage)
✔ Consult on ED holds, but no backup duties
