About the Position

Locum Tenens Opportunity – OB/GYN Clinic Coverage

We are seeking an OB/GYN physician for locum tenens clinic coverage in North Carolina.

Position Details:

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (in-office)
• Setting: Outpatient clinic with hospital responsibilities
• Patient Volume:
  • Clinic: 16–20 patients/day per provider
  • Inpatient Census: 3–4
  • Labor & Delivery: Approximately 3–4 per week
  • Admissions: 1–2 per day, 2–3 per night (handled by an on-call physician)
• No ICU/Critical Care Duties (LT responds to codes)

Procedures:

• Hospital Procedures: OB/GYN procedures as needed in ER, C-sections, vaginal deliveries
• In-Office Procedures: LEEP, colposcopy, endometrial biopsies

Requirements:

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NRP required

Facility Information – Outer Banks Hospital:

• 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalist Support
• 26-bed Critical Access Hospital (6 designated psych beds)
• 4-bed Convenient Care Unit (staffed by an APP and RN/paramedic)
• 3 Operating Rooms, Anesthesiologist, Onsite Radiologist
• 24-hour Laboratory Services
• Immediate Transfer Support via ECU Health Air & Ground
• EMR: EPIC
