Staff Physician

Staff Physician (PRN) Location: Winslow, AZ ID: 2026-29890 Overview NaphCare is hiring Staff Physicians to join our team of medical professionals at APSC Winslow, located in Winslow, AZ. Pay rates range from $120.00 to $137.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience. Full Time and Part Time positions may be available. As a Correctional Staff Physician, you will be responsible for providing quality medical care to meet the healthcare needs of the patients within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. Responsibilities Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, and manage chronic conditions, ensuring care protects the rights, dignity, and health of our patient population. Formulate diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens. Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment. Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility. Coordinate, lead and participate in educational and training activities related to medical care for patients. Conduct rounds in the medical and infirmary units. Ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standards. Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients' needs. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO). Current unrestricted license as a physician in state. Current DEA registration in state. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine. Ability to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred). Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency. Experience in general medicine, with strong knowledge of current medical principles and practices; ability to collaborate with medical team. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Able to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information. Display integrity and professionalism; adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
