Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 12:30 PM - 7:15 PM Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred 5 years License: Preferred CA state license; pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTSA Must-Have: Experience in Trauma Level I Description:Start date is ASAP.This role does not have a daily patient ratio requirement.The daily census is 25 with 8 operating rooms available.Previous charge experience is required.Candidates must have travel experience.Experience in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma is mandatory.Travelers may need to cover one night shift within their contract if required.Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, including weekend coverage based on unit needs.Weekend requirements will be determined by the unit’s needs.Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.Failure to float may lead to termination of the assignment or loss of guaranteed hours.Communication devices will be provided as necessary for performing duties.Travelers should explore housing options in the area as they may be limited.Candidate will be required to provide references covering work history within the last 3 years.Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, equipment sterilization, and adherence to safety protocols.Key skills include proficiency in various surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.Candidates should have familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment relevant to the operating room environment.Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for this role.Candidates should be prepared to handle emergencies and prioritize patient safety at all times.Experience with specific equipment such as microscopes, laparoscopic cameras, and arthroscopes is preferred.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary to support effective surgical outcomes.This position requires interaction with diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
