Headquartered in New Berlin, Wisconsin, with additional locations in Delavan and West Allis, our success is driven by a talented, engaged, and safety-focused team.We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager located at our New Berlin location. The Maintenance Manager leads the break/fix maintenance and equipment setup teams supporting our 24/7 New Berlin manufacturing operation. This role is accountable for rapid, safe, and effective response to equipment breakdowns, production interruptions, and machine setups while minimizing unplanned downtime and maintaining equipment to OEM or better standards.The Maintenance Manager oversees Maintenance Technicians, Setup Technicians, and Mold Technicians across all shifts. Working closely with Production and the TPM & Reliability Manager, this leader establishes clear expectations for urgency, workmanship, communication, and accountability while developing the technical capability of the team.QualificationsReactive Maintenance LeadershipLead all break/fix maintenance activities for production equipment and the facility across all operating shifts.Establish and maintain an "OEM or better" standard of equipment care, repair quality, safety, communication, and accountability.Develop the technical skills of the break/fix maintenance team through coaching, training, and hands-on guidance.Quickly identify, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.Coordinate maintenance support and communicate status updates with Production, Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, and other departments.Setup Team LeadershipPlan and coordinate machine setups, including the tools and equipment needed for blow molders and downstream equipment.Drive safe, consistent, and efficient setups while reducing the time from last good piece to first good piece.Ensure equipment, molds, heads, and related resources are ready to support production requirements.Emergency Response and Contractor ManagementEstablish and enforce internal and external plant escalation procedures.Maintain after-hours and weekend support processes and ensure an urgent 24/7 response to critical breakdowns.Ensure the appropriate internal or external technical resources are available to support production.Manage onsite contractors as appropriate and communicate breakdown root causes to the TPM & Reliability Manager.Systems, Cost, and Team ManagementEnsure work orders are completed accurately and on time, with parts and labor properly assigned.Control maintenance labor and expenses at or below budget and authorize parts and service purchases within established limits.Maintain accurate payroll, overtime approval, performance appraisal, disciplinary, and training records.Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and current equipment documentation, including O&M manuals and electrical schematics.Review critical spare-parts inventory and establish appropriate levels to support equipment reliability and emergency response.Molds, Auxiliary Equipment, and Cross-Functional SupportDevelop and implement standardized processes for mold and head maintenance.Support engineering projects, performance reporting, data analysis, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.Partner across departments to improve equipment performance, setup execution, and overall plant results.Key Performance IndicatorsWork order completion rateUnplanned downtime and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)Maintenance department labor expense and turnoverRepair and maintenance spendProject completion performanceQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Five or more years of maintenance, engineering, reliability, or manufacturing leadership experience.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC/automation, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and water processing systems.Hands-on experience using maintenance tools and equipment such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and grinders to make or alter parts.Ability to dismantle, inspect, repair, and overhaul machines or components;
