Chief of Psychiatry Key Responsibilities (Supervisory position):

• Typical shift M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm; Night, Weekend, Holiday call by rotation
• Some travel is required to our Community Based Outpatient Clinics
• Evaluate and manage patients admitted to mental health inpatient service, and outpatient clinics, including performing history and physical examinations.
• Provide coverage to evaluate and manage mental health veterans in the local area Emergency Department, and consultation liaison service as needed.
• Write prescriptions including controlled medications, order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Provides patient education of medical/mental health conditions, preventive measures and prescribed treatments.
• Relocation/recruitment incentives may be approved for highly qualified candidates

What We Offer:

• Competitive Salary: $275,000 - $350,000
• Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays.

Preferred Experience:

• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Supervisory experience required
