Sr Manager, Medical Information

Senior Manager, Medical Information Job Overview Respond to unsolicited medical requests for Gilead products from HCPs, the public, and internal colleagues using approved standard documents and up-to-date literature. Use scientific/medical information expertise to drive strategic initiatives and provide globally aligned resources to enable timely decisions and improved patient outcomes. Prepare global resources with local affiliate teams (TA specialist team). Identify, report, and record adverse events and product complaints promptly. Serve as a key medical reviewer in PRC/MRC, providing strategic input, managing complex reviews/escalations, and ensuring scientific rigor and compliant messaging. Contribute to MI strategy and represent MI cross-functionally. Responsibilities Lead creation of responses to unsolicited medical/scientific inquiries, including complex affiliate/internal requests and escalations. Act as Therapeutic Area (TA) subject matter expert; develop and manage global MI content and response strategies. Author/review/quality-check/approve MI response documents and data-on-file per regulatory/internal requirements. Ensure medical/scientific accuracy; serve as medical reviewer for promotional/medical/Public Affairs materials (PRC/MRC). Execute TA-specific strategies cross-functionally. Maintain/govern MI content repository; update with new data, regulatory changes, and literature surveillance. Analyze MI inquiries for trends/insights/content gaps; translate into actionable recommendations for content strategy. Support TA/department initiatives (product launches, labeling updates, patient engagement). Lead or contribute to global/regional MI projects aligned with strategic MI plans. Support scientific congress presence and inquiries (travel may be required). Oversee external medical writing support and provide line management for non-permanent staff (as applicable). Contribute to MI policies, guidelines, and SOPs. Explore/support AI-enabled tools and digital capabilities to improve MI processes and efficiency. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree + 8 years’ experience OR Master’s degree + 6 years’ experience OR PhD/PharmD. Preferred Qualifications Medical Affairs/Medical Information/pharmaceutical industry experience. Strong stakeholder management; written/verbal/interpersonal communication. Ability to analyze/synthesize/communicate complex clinical/scientific data. Knowledge of regulatory/legal requirements for MI/Medical Affairs. Strategic use of MI metrics/customer insights; strong scientific judgment and detail; project management. Knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas/products; leadership in ambiguous situations. Advanced life sciences degree (PhD/PharmD/MD) preferred. MI experience preferred or comparable healthcare/clinical experience required.
