Business Systems Analyst Location: Kansas City, Missouri (Remote) Role Overview We are seeking a senior-level Technical Business Systems Analyst to support our provider technology team. This role requires an individual who can own complex data analysis activities, independently investigate data issues, and serve as a subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will mentor other BSAs and reduce dependency on management by handling questions from junior team members. Key Responsibilities Serve as a senior-level analyst supporting the provider technology team. Own complex data analysis activities and independently investigate data issues. Write and maintain advanced SQL queries and stored procedures in Azure SQL environments. Perform extensive data validation and testing against the Provider Management Platform (PMP). Support provider-related technology domains, including demographics, credentialing, directory, portals, contracting, and networking. Assist with API-driven data cleanup and remediation efforts. Review developer output to verify that data mapping and transformation logic is accurate. Create and validate business rules and transformation logic. Support initiatives by validating outbound flat file generation and data integration requirements. Contribute to operational support activities. Mentor other BSAs and act as a subject matter resource for the team. Required Qualifications Technical Skills: Expert-level SQL querying, including the ability to write complex queries and stored procedures. Strong experience with Azure SQL. Advanced data analysis, data mapping, and data testing/validation skills. Ability to understand and validate transformation logic. Exposure to API-related projects. Domain Experience: Healthcare payer experience is strongly preferred. Provider-domain knowledge from a payer perspective is critical, as there will not be time to teach industry-specific business processes. Behavioral Requirements: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset. Ability to work independently with attention to detail. Willingness and ability to mentor junior analysts.
