Desired Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico teaching license, along with NMPED credentials
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Familiarity with strategies for supporting students’ social communication needs
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for a diverse caseload
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiasm for cultivating a positive, collaborative classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to K-3rd grade students in a social communication-focused classroom
• Design lessons and activities tailored to students’ unique learning needs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, families, and support staff to promote student success
• Maintain accurate records, participate in IEP meetings, and uphold compliance requirements
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued and supported
