This is a full-time position, running through the 2026–2027 school year, with approximately 35 hours per week. Qualifications & Experience:

• Current New Mexico teaching license and NMPED credentials are required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially with K-3rd grade students
• Proven ability to support students with social communication needs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students in a social communication classroom setting
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s unique needs and IEP goals
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Track progress and maintain accurate, ongoing documentation
• Communicate frequently with families and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
• Implement strategies and interventions tailored to enhance students’ social and academic growth
