We are looking for a Maintenance Welder at our Gary, IN location. TMS has an immediate opening for an experienced maintenance welder, mechanical skills a plus. We are a heavy equipment repair facility and a union shop that offers good pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to have welds certified or pass welding inspection in GMAW and SMAW, when necessary.
• Have the ability and experience using hand, track torches, air arc gouging and new heavy fabrication.
• Experience in heavy equipment and processing equipment repair a plus.
• Candidate must own some general tools; have good communication, organization, blueprint reading, written skills with a positive attitude and a team player.
• Work is performed both in shop and outside environments.

Qualifications:

• At Least 5 Years Experience
• Welding GMAW, SMAW
• Fabrication, Fitting
• Hand Torch Operation
• Track Torch Operation
• Air Arc Gouging
• Heavy Lifting & Tool Usage
• Mechanical and heavy equipment maintenance experience a plus
• Currently working daytime shift
