Director, Market Access - CMS Coverage & Reimbursement Policy

Director role leading Illumina's Medicare coverage, coding, and reimbursement strategy for genomic sequencing and genetic testing. The position requires deep expertise in CMS policy, federal reimbursement mechanisms, and market access strategy, with responsibility for shaping national coverage and payment policy.
Responsibilities
- Lead Medicare market access strategy development for genomic sequencing and genetic testing
- Develop strategies for NCDs, LCDs, MolDx engagement, CLFS pricing, and CPT/PLA coding
- Monitor CMS rulemaking and federal reimbursement policy developments affecting genomics
- Partner with Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, and HEOR teams on evidence-based Medicare strategies
- Represent company in direct engagement with CMS, Medicare contractors, and industry stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred (MPH, MHA, PharmD, PhD, JD, MBA, or equivalent)
- 10+ years Medicare reimbursement, federal health policy, or market access experience
- Demonstrated leadership of Medicare coverage and reimbursement strategies for genomic sequencing or advanced diagnostics
- 5+ years direct experience with CMS, Medicare Administrative Contractors, MolDx, or similar Medicare organizations
- Proven track record influencing Medicare coverage, coding, pricing, or reimbursement policy decisions
- Deep knowledge of NCDs, LCDs, CLFS, CPT/PLA coding, and Medicare payment methodologies
- Strong policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication abilities
Compensation: $187,400–$281,000 base
