Field Director, Cardiovascular Metabolic MSLs - Central Plains Region US

Amgen seeks a Field Director to lead and manage a regional Medical Science Liaison team in the Cardiovascular Metabolic therapeutic area across the Central Plains region. The role combines field medical strategy execution with direct people management, team development, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional MSL team execution of field medical activities and strategy aligned with corporate goals
• Ensure team conducts compliant, clinically meaningful scientific engagements with healthcare decision makers and stakeholders
• Accompany direct reports in stakeholder meetings to assess competency and provide performance feedback
• Support direct reports' career development through guided activities and leadership opportunities
• Manage team meetings for best practice sharing, team building, and field medical objective execution

Requirements

• Doctorate degree plus 4 years Medical Affairs experience, or Master's degree plus 8 years, or Bachelor's degree plus 10 years
• 4 years managerial or team leadership experience directly managing people or directing resources
• PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
• At least 3 years in a medical science liaison role
• 7+ years industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs at biotech or pharmaceutical company
• 7+ years clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research experience preferred
