Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mother-Baby/Postpartum RN for a night shift position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital requiring BLS, NRP, and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum unit of a 186-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Weekend requirement of 3-4 shifts out of a six-week schedule
• No call requirements
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Patient population includes antepartum, postpartum, and Level 1 nursery care
• Care includes cesarean section and vaginal delivery recovery, multiple births, and pain management including epidural and PCA use

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, administration of blood and blood products, and maintenance of central lines (CVC/PICC)
• 1 professional reference required
• Must apply for CT license prior to submission due to 15-21 business day issuance time

• Provide direct care for mother-baby couplets including postpartum and nursery patients
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
