Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care while adhering to established guidelines and regulations. This role involves performing initial assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial age-appropriate nursing assessments.
• Complete ongoing age-appropriate reassessments and discharge assessments.
• Develop and implement care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Execute appropriate nursing actions to meet patient goals.
• Communicate patient care activities to healthcare team members.
• Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards.
• Maintain a safe physical environment for patients and staff.
• Administer medications correctly and evaluate patient responses.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge procedures.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Assist in emergency/disaster preparedness planning and response.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Maine or compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Immunizations required including varicella, HepB, MMR, Tdap, and recent PPD.
