Job Skills / Requirements Job Description Security Engineers Inc. is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused Security Systems Technician who demonstrates initiative, communicates effectively, and provides high-quality service and support. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of security systems technician experience or 3 years of related experience. Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and working knowledge of electronics field, computer hardware/software, data networks, cabling, and AC/DC voltage. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards. Must be willing travel between the client facilities for special projects. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Configure, maintain, assemble, and program access control and VMS systems, including card readers, electronic door hardware, cameras, panic devices, gates, and intercom/phone devices. Act as a representative of the client when dealing with outside contractors on security device installations and repairs. Service and troubleshoot systems according to approved guidelines and standards. Read and follow installation prints and diagrams. Respond to trouble and occasional emergency after-hours calls. Document installation and maintenance activity accurately. Maintain a safe work environment and keep security information confidential. Minimum Physical Requirements With or Without Reasonable Accommodation (Subject to change based on client-specific needs) Stand for at least 1 hour without support or break Sit for at least 1 hour without break Walk at least ½ mile without stopping Education & Experience: Minimum: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1+ years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience. Preferred: Education: Associate degree or higher preferred. Experience: 3+ years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
