CNC MachinistThe CNC Machinist will set-up and operate CNC and Manual Turning and Milling Machine Tools. Employee stock purchase plan.Qualifications:Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent- Trade School Diploma preferred. Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the set-up and operation of CNC and Manual Machine Tools. Experience with the methods and devices to lift heavy irregularly shaped objects.Knowledge: Advanced shop mathematics, able to read complex blue prints and, an understanding of the order of operations and good manufacturing practices is essential. Understands set up operation & program of G & M codes.Skill: The CNC Machinist must be able to correctly use and read basic measuring tools such as micrometers, Vernier calipers and indicators. Ability to control the machine tool to hold specified tolerances. Verbal and written communication skills to convey information within the organization and the ability to solve practical manufacturing problems with little guidance is important. Basic computer skills ( i.e. data entry, editing, searching.) Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks.Physical/Environmental Demands: Posses manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials. Be able to lift heavy weight, carry at least 50 lbs and move, pull or push materials of this magnitude. Work near moving mechanical parts. Periodically exposed to hazards of a serious nature requiring care in the use of machinery as well as the use of personal protective equipment.
