Summary

Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of BMS (Biulding Management Services) . Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.

Detailed Description

• 
  Oversees building management systems and CMMS administration to optimize operations, track asset maintenance, and support smart building transitions.
  
  
• 
  Preferred experience: 5+ years supporting mission-critical environments (data centers or high-tech manufacturing)
  
  
• 
  Expertise in SCADA/BMS control logic, PLC integration, and enterprise CMMS deployment.
  
  
• 
  Ensures facility is always in compliance with all local and government regulations.
  
  
• 
  Works with management and technical staff to formulate plans on equipment placement and replacement as necessary.
  
  
• 
  Coordinates contract services, inspections, and audits as necessary.
  
  
• 
  Assists in management of multiple projects varying in complexity using solid project management skills and tools.
  
  
• 
  Monitors and reports progress status of projects along with quality, schedule, safety, security, productivity, administration, and worksite appearance to site management team and evaluates contractors on these aspects.

  Collaborates at all levels in site planning, including reviewing proposed and existing processes and equipment and making recommendations.
  
  
• 
  Ensures compliance with ISO 50001:2011 - Energy Management System Standards.
  
  
• 
  Responsible for the design, deployment, implementation, and support of Celestica's Energy Management.
  
  
• 
  Works to ensure and meet energy objectives, develop implementation schedules, and provide ongoing support and leadership through completion of the plan.
  
  

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

•

Physical Demands

• Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
