Summary

Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.

Detailed Description

• 
  Shift Requirement: Night / Weekend : Fri- Sun 5PM-5AM.
  
  
• 
  Maintains campus power systems, executes preventive maintenance, and ensures reliable electrical distribution for critical manufacturing operations.
  
  
• 
  Preferred experience: 4+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance in industrial data centers or heavy manufacturing, including hands-on work with high-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, emergency generators, and power redundancy protocols.
  
  
• 
  Works with management and technical staff to formulate plans on equipment placement and replacement as necessary.
  
  
• 
  Coordinates contract services, inspections, and audits as necessary.
  
  
• 
  Manages multiple projects varying in complexity using solid project management skills and tools.
  
  
• 
  Drives the supplier/contractor selection process and ensures that all orders/requisitions are placed with all necessary drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Monitors and reports progress status of projects along with quality, schedule, safety, security, productivity, administration, and worksite appearance to site management team and evaluates contractors on these aspects.

  Collaborates at all levels in site planning, including reviewing proposed and existing processes and equipment and making recommendations.
  
  

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• 4+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance in industrial data centers or heavy manufacturing, including hands-on work with high-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, emergency generators, and power redundancy protocols.

Physical Demands

• Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

• Three to six years of relevant experience
