Project Engineer 2 - Stephenville, TX

Position Summary The Project Engineer 2 assists and supports the Project Manager on assigned projects. The position works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities, and gathers and distributes information. The Project Engineer 2 must be a flexible and adaptable team player and have strong communication and client service skills. Major Duties & Responsibilities Setup initial contracts and project information Coordinate various trades Resolve design coordination issues Receive, review, forward, and track the status of submittals Oversee & manage the RFI process Assist in the management of the project permit process Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement Identify long lead items and establish procurement priorities Update construction schedule based on project team input, Trade Contractor progress, and materials delivery Manage change requests, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders Track and inspect material deliveries Assist with reports regarding the financial performance of the project Prepare monthly owner project status reports, as required Attend and/or lead project meetings, as directed by the Project Manager Oversee timely distribution and accurate recording of all meeting minutes Assist and/or complete project close-out Communicate and enforce Manhattan’s environmental, health, and safety management policies Demonstrate commitment to an injury‑free environment through own actions and mentoring others Review subcontractor monthly payment applications Coordinate punch list items and procedures Perform quality control inspections & oversee QPL process log Oversee project-specific integration of quality, closeout, photo documentation, & procurement technology software Act in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibit attributes matching the Way We Work Other duties as assigned Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office, Procore, & Bluebeam products Knowledge of Manhattan document control and scheduling software Broad understanding of industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic math and accounting skills Function effectively as part of a team Dependability Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times Follow directions accurately Time management and organizational skills Ability to train and mentor team members Read drawings and specifications for all trades and scopes Identify and mitigate site risk and financial efficiency Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent, or 2 years of industry experience Working Conditions and Physical Efforts Adaptable to all types of weather conditions and traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching Physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day Repeat the same movements regularly Communicate effectively in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls Compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence Lifting, pulling, or moving up to 50 pounds at a time Occasional travel within the metropolitan area and sometimes domestically, with a valid driver’s license Exposure to typical construction site hazards #J-18808-Ljbffr Manhattan Construction Company
