Essential Functions:

Maintains complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned function and communicates expectations and to banquet staff. Supervises banquet staff, ensures quality service is provided to guests. Greets guests upon arrival and assists in seating as required by group; ensures a pleasant visit for each guest while maintaining effective guest relations. Recognizes and resolves guest complaints and concerns. Supervises event set up and break down procedures; contributes to overall cleanliness and organization of facility and event location. Performs special projects delegated by management. Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.

Education and/or Experience

1 year banquet supervisory experience; excellent people and communication skills. Proven experience supervising banquet staff in an event setting and demonstrated outstanding customer service. Must possess willingness to learn and perform new banquet event programs and services. Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and motivation. Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
