Accounting Assistant
The Accounting Assistant owns the day-to-day bookkeeping across our portfolio of companies. This is a hands-on, high-volume position that spans the full accounting cycle in a complex, multi-entity environment. The role reports directly to the Director of Finance.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Setting: On-Site Raleigh, NC area
Reports To: Director of Finance
Experience: 35 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or staff-accounting experience required
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered
Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus health insurance and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage accounts payable, including coding, entry, and payment runs
- Handle accounts receivable and client invoicing across multiple entities
- Perform bank reconciliations with accuracy and consistency
- Conduct collections follow-up with clients and vendors
- Support month-end close activities
- Maintain organized, accurate financial records across all entities
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed
