Maintenance Technician Location: Candler, FL Work Arrangement: Onsite (Townley) Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday *Additional overtime available* Compensation: Starting $20-22/hr What we do at Weir We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. What you’ll do Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily checks on the operation and condition of all production equipment to ensure readiness and prevent downtime. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, adjusting parts using hand and machine tools to maintain optimal performance. Inventory & Resource Management: Plan repair inventory and maintain equipment needs to avoid shortages or excesses, including controlling and mixing chemicals, bonding agents, primers, oils, and fluids. Safety & Preventative Measures: Apply preventative maintenance to reduce future risks, fix potential safety hazards, and conduct routine safety checks in compliance with OSHA standards. Reporting & Communication: Maintain accurate maintenance reports, inventory, and status updates; communicate effectively with production teams to alleviate delays or interruptions. Work Environment Adaptation: Operate safely in a manufacturing environment with loud noise, high temperatures, and dust, using required PPE such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and respirators. What you’ll bring Must-haves: 2 years of applicable maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to safely operate all tools Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations Basic computer proficiency and report writing skills Nice-to-haves Experience with chemical handling and mixing related to maintenance tasks Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual handling tasks Time-management skills to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently Benefits Competitive Compensation Excellent Health / Dental / Vision Options 5% 401(k) Retirement Match 11 Days Paid Time Off in first year, increases with time of service 11 Paid Holidays per year Required PPE is provided (boots, safety glasses, coveralls) Why join Weir?
