MRI Technologist

An opportunity is available for an MRI Technologist to provide specialized imaging services within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in acute care and a proven ability to work independently.

Shift & Schedule

Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care settings.
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless they possess 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Required licensure and certifications: BLS, WA state license, and either ARRT-MR or ARMRIT.

Patient Types

The position involves working with diverse patient populations including inpatients, outpatients, emergency room patients, and those affected by strokes. The majority of cases will involve adult patients, with children being rare and typically sedated under anesthesia.

Skills Required

• Competence in performing general MRI scans, including brain, spine, MRCP, and extremities.
• Occasional responsibilities for obstetric imaging as needed.
• Ability to start IVs is preferred.
• Comfort in working independently, as the MRI technologist may operate solo.

Technology & Equipment

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC.
• Familiarity with PACS operations: Phillips View.
• Unit equipment includes Siemens Espree, Skyra, and Symphony (preferred).

Additional Responsibilities

• May be required to float to an outpatient imaging center nearby.
• Weekend rotation will depend on shift and scheduling needs.

This position is located within a community hospital that features 226 total beds and operates as a Level III trauma center.
