Position/Specialty: Ultrasound Tech

Shift: 4x10s Mon, Tues, Thurs, 7a-5:30p and Friday, 5:30a-3:30p

Weekend Req: See shift; only if called in

Is on-call REQ? Yes, weekend day 7a-7p rotation with other technologists

Types of Cases: We perform inpatient, outpatient and ER cases

Daily Caseload per tech: approx. 15 per tech

Will this traveler float between service lines? No

Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No

Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 year

First-timers accepted: Yes

National Certs REQ: BLS, ARRT (S) or ARDMS

Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers

Required Skills: PACS, Portables, Procedures. Ultrasonographer who can scan general abd., OB, small parts, kidney, vascular

Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed

Local Radius: 60 miles

Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate

RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs

Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
