Perform a variety of accounting tasks related to the recording of the company’s financial activity and reporting of that activity. Partner with corporate accounting team to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policy.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned). Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Individual contributionsMonitor and record transactions in the general ledger in conformity with GAAP and company policyReview and prepare monthly account reconciliationsManage the resolution of discrepancies between GL and subsidiary ledgers accountsDevelop and implement accounting processes to improve controls and efficienciesAssist management with financial analysisPrepare current period and recast items for financial reporting. Includes all SEC filing documentsCoordinate with external parties regarding external reportingPerform quarterly impairment analysis, including preparation of supporting models and documentationPerform contract review for Finance to assess accounting implications and ensure proper treatmentPrepare monthly financial reporting packageMaintain and prepare comparable sales reporting, including ad hoc requests and support for planning activities led by FP&AManage lease accounting process including:Review and validation of all retail, storage, and other lease activityFinal review of lease population for completeness and accuracyPreparation of supporting schedules for lease-related disclosuresManage monthly bonus accrual process, including calculation support, review of inputs, and coordination with FP&A/Finance during closeManage stock-based compensation accounting, including:Accounting for equity grants and vesting activityReview and reconciliation of stock compensation expenseOversight of grant and vesting dataOversight contributionsDevelop and oversee two individual contributorsReview month end accounting entriesOversee and review the lease process, including supporting the annual operating lease planning processOversee and review the roll-forward of SEC documentsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in accounting required7-10 years general accounting experienceExperience with D365 or Workiva preferredActive CPA license preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
