Overview Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room in Boston, Massachusetts. Start date 08/24/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $2,281–$2,421 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 12-hour shifts. Setting: a high-volume surgical services department with 17 operating rooms and 24/7 coverage. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,281–$2,421 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts; day and evening rotations Start date: 08/24/2026 On-call and float flexibility: on-call 1x per schedule; may float to other ORs as needed Local rate note: residents within 50 miles receive a local rate that is $10 per week less than the posted travel rate Responsibilities Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a broad OR case mix Assist with scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and instrument handling; maintain strict sterile technique Support anesthesia teams and surgeons across multiple specialties; ensure equipment availability and patient safety Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and participate in accurate counts and specimen labeling Maintain OR readiness and efficient turnover between cases; uphold infection control and safety standards Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the perioperative team; participate in safe handoffs to PACU or postoperative units Requirements 2+ years of inpatient OR experience Scrub experience required BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in day and evening rotations Flexibility to cover scheduled weekends and holidays as needed Comfortable working in a high-volume, multi-specialty OR with 24/7 operations Level 1 trauma experience preferred Benefits and Support Competitive weekly pay Guaranteed hours 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated assignment support Fast credentialing process Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
