Summary The employee in this position is responsible for sorting, processing and / or delivery of mail Responsibilities Sorts incoming mail within specific expectations Distributes sorted documents to proper departments for processing Records incoming accountable mail pieces received for receipt signature Performs mail delivery tasks Operates postal mailing equipment as required Operates Mail Inserter to fold and insert mailing projects as required Prints, folds and inserts special projects as required. Sorts all incoming checks as per client SOP Manages stamp sales and postal service client requests at service window Maintains postal supplies Ensures the delivery of packages in a timely manner in coordination with shipping and receiving Adheres to the Standards of Excellence Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Account Manager Monitors and listens to clients to understand inquiries and requests to provide accurate information about the facilities and services and prompt assistance Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of mail room environment preferred Exhibit strong Customer Service skills Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to operate mail equipment Minimum of intermediate computer skills and Microsoft EXCEL knowledge Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills required Ability to be personable, articulate, knowledgeable and professional in presenting oneself in a professional setting Ability to learn skills quickly and thoroughly Ability to multi-task Attention to detail Ability to function with a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy in handling any complaints/situations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions Strong initiative with an ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
