Yard Driver/Jockey Truck Current Class A CDL, DOT, & TWIC Required

Job Description

Craftsmen Contractors is looking for a Class A CDL Driver with Yard Driver/Jockey Truck experience for the New Orleans, La. area to work in the yard at a major warehouse distributor. This is a temp-to-permanent position for the right candidate. Day shifts Mondays through Fridays. 40 hours per week plus optional overtime. Weekly pay direct deposit.

Pay is $18/hour.

Job Duties:

· Operate a tractor-trailer to transport freight safely and efficiently.

· Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a valid Class A CDL and TWIC Card.

· Load and unload cargo as required, utilizing forklifts when necessary.

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.

· Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate deliveries.

· Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo transported.

Job requirements:

You need to have a valid and unexpired:

· Class A CDL

· DOT Medical Card

· TWIC Card

You will need to be able to pass a criminal background check and MVR check. Needing Drivers with some tractor-trailer experience and driving with low-bar experience. Must have a current TWIC Card.

Selected candidates will be driving an Ottawa Jockey Truck, which is a half-truck that is referred to as a Super Forklift. Containers are loaded on the truck and then moved between yards.
