Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,339 a week in all, a taxable rate of $29.78 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Emergency Room Nurse - ER - Location TBD

This position involves providing specialized emergency care in a high-volume, Level III trauma center. The role requires experienced nursing professionals capable of managing a diverse patient demographic, from neonates to geriatrics, with a focus on rapid assessment and intervention in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). A minimum of 2 years of experience in a large volume Emergency Department with high acuity is preferred.
• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Managing medication administration via barcode scanning, blood product administration, triage, setting up chest tubes and arterial lines, assisting with trauma and code cases, splinting, BIPAP/ventilators, and understanding of Emergency Severity Index (ESI). Experience with Point of Care Labs and pediatric emergency medicine is highly preferred.
• Additional Information: Must pass hospital’s Triage Test before performing triage duties. The ED sees a mix of neonates to geriatric patients, including trauma, stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, and substance use disorder cases. The unit operates with a patient ratio of approximately 1:3 to 1:5, depending on acuity. EMR system is Epic. No floating required. The position may involve every other weekend work, with flexibility preferred.
