Construction Planner I

Hybrid Fiber Coax Network Engineer Duration: 6-Month Contract (Opportunity to Extend or Convert) Pay: $33+ per hour Hiring Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Onsite Travel: Possibly Required (Local & Nationwide – flexibility required) Plans, coordinates, and supports the construction, maintenance, and optimization of Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks to deliver voice, video, and data services to residential and commercial customers. Key Responsibilities Perform field engineering for proposed projects; evaluate alternative routing to determine the most cost-effective construction design. Coordinate end-to-end customer implementation activities, including site walk-throughs, node placement, and subcontractor support. Manage contractor activities; obtain and coordinate permits, access, and right-of-way (ROW) agreements; distribute design prints and project documentation. Review and analyze construction plans; gather data and define material requirements for projects. Collaborate with public works personnel, developers, utilities, building owners, and commercial customers on joint trench and infrastructure projects. Develop and maintain project schedules and workflow databases; support forecasting, material planning, and capital/expense budgeting. Estimate construction costs, prepare budgets, and track project expenses and performance. Verify serviceability; conduct route surveys and estimate labor, materials, and construction costs. Initiate and maintain customer communication; secure site access/ROW agreements and ensure project requirements are met. Plan, construct, repair, and inspect HFC network infrastructure in coordination with utilities for permits, pole applications, and service issues. Support fiber allocation planning for splicing and network activation (as applicable). Inspect construction work or coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with design and standards. Close out completed projects by updating systems, reconciling assets, and generating completion reports. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) 0–2 years of relevant experience (2+ years preferred) Basic knowledge of construction, telecommunications, or project coordination Required Skills Strong PC and Microsoft Excel skills Adobe Acrobat proficiency Knowledge of GO-95 and GO-128 standards Organizational and communication skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Role Scope & Work Environment Entry-level role supporting construction and project management functions Works under close supervision with guidance on non-routine issues Responsible for routine tasks with growing impact at the team/department level WIVERSE
