Construction Project Manager

Job Summary SitelogIQ is a rapidly growing energy and facility services company focused on making buildings better. The Project Manager will be based out of Southern California as part of our West Business Unit. The role is the vital link between SitelogIQ and our ongoing energy programs in California, ensuring excellent services and results for our customers while promoting safe practices and embracing new approaches to accomplish projects more efficiently and effectively. This role works with business operations, business development, and engineering teams and involves on‑site and remote work with travel throughout the region. Location Remote – Riverside, CA 92501, USA Target Salary $110,000-140,000+ depending on experience. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage project teams of 2-5 people, including construction managers, project assistants, project engineers, and project accountants. Develop, review, and manage customer and subcontractor contracts. Develop project execution plans, including schedules, budget limits, standard construction principles and procedures, staffing requirements, and allocation of available resources to various phases of the project. Establish a work plan and staffing for each project phase and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Coordinate activities to ensure progress stays on schedule and within the prescribed budget. Manage teams to acquire CA IOU PV interconnection. Manage and obtain CA DSA approval on K‑12 construction projects. Read plans and specifications, develop a CPM schedule using Last Planner® methods, identify key milestones and goals, and drive results through open communication. Drive all project activities with subcontractors and customers to ensure work is performed in accordance with the contract documents on‑time and on budget. Oversee and manage project commissioning. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to outline the work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Attend necessary pre‑ and post‑job walks. Review status reports prepared by project personnel and coordinate schedules or plans as required. Coordinate with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Serve as the primary liaison for the customer and company team regarding project‑related items. Ensure general project quality control and establish safety plans and goals. Establish and manage document control processes and procedures. Ensure that all project‑specific information, emails, and pictures are saved to the company server regularly. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications B.S. in Business Administration, Construction Management, or Engineering from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager. Familiarity with CA IOU utility interconnect agreements, PPAs, and California utility regulatory agencies including CPUC, CEC, and CALISO. Experience with DSA approval processes. Knowledge of electrical theory, the National Electric Code, and California Building and Electrical Codes. Ability to work on multiple discipline projects in parallel. Customer‑focused mentality, with the ability to foresee and handle objections. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS Project, and web‑based and smartphone applications. Procore experience is a plus. Availability to travel on‑site for duties or supervision as required, including after‑hours or weekends. Up to 1‑2 days per week of travel, which may include extended trips lasting a week or more. Physical Requirements Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds, and work on your feet for extended periods. Project Managers may work under a variety of conditions and settings, depending on the type of job and client.
