Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 - $1,820
• Location: Hospital - Longview, TX 75605 (Longview, Texas / East Texas)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 - August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist / Travel PT
• Required to Float: Yes (float to different hospital units)
• Call: No call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
• Current Texas Physical Therapist (PT) licensure
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 year inpatient rehab experience; minimum 2 years' experience as a practicing Physical Therapist preferred
• EMR experience; Medhost EMR experience preferred
• Professional appearance: any solid color scrubs
• Travel requirement: candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient physical therapy services: examine patients, assess functional limitations, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
• Educate patients and families on condition management, home exercise programs, and long-term wellness strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, OT, case management) to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in the EMR system
• Float to different units within the hospital as needed to meet patient care demands
