Machine Shop Manager

Machine Shop ManagerWe are looking for a hands-on Machine Shop Manager to lead a CNC machining operation while remaining involved in programming, setup, tooling, troubleshooting, and production.This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist/programmer who enjoys leading a team but still wants to be involved on the shop floor.Responsibilities:Lead and supervise day-to-day machine shop operations and production schedulesProgram, set up, and operate CNC machines for jobs of varying complexityDevelop and modify CNC programs using Mastercam or similar CAM softwareReview 3D models, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirementsSelect appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining processesTroubleshoot machining, equipment, and process issuesMonitor production, quality, and delivery objectivesTrain, mentor, and develop machinists and shop employeesCoordinate projects, schedules, and work prioritiesIdentify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, processes, and efficiencyWork closely with engineering, production, and other departmentsMaintain a strong focus on safety and shop standardsOperate multiple machines or support production as neededQualifications:4+ years of manufacturing experience3+ years of CNC machine setup and operationCNC programming experience using Mastercam or similar CAM softwareAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D modelsExperience selecting tooling and setting up CNC equipmentPrevious leadership or supervisory experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExperience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers and other inspection toolsGood computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing software and systemsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work hands-on in a manufacturing environmentBenefits:Paid time off401KProfit sharingHealth insuranceDental InsuranceVisionKonik is an equal opportunity employer.
