Senior Accountant

Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for a Marketing Client in Irvine, CA Direct Hire | Onsite | Salary range for this position is $90 - $120K We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our financial operations. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with established accounting policies while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls Own monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion Prepare month-end close journal entries Prepare and analyze monthly financial statement packages Partner with department leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Analyze financial results and identify trends Maintain accuracy of the fixed asset system, including reconciliation to the general ledger and monthly depreciation entries Provide support and guidance for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, as needed Assist with external audits Maintain confidentiality of financial information Perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Five years of hands‑on experience in a Senior Accountant role Strong technical proficiency, capable of managing accounting processes independently in the absence of the Controller Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar accounting software Demonstrated ability to maintain a strong, consistent employment history without major gaps Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Proactive mindset with a curiosity to learn internal processes and improve workflows Preferred Experience Manufacturing or cost accounting exposure Experience with NetSuite Experience supporting audits, budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis Experience providing guidance or support to accounting staff JSG offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, short-term disability, 401(k), weekly pay, and more.
