Stewarding Supervisor - Full Time - Overnight

Description Primary Purpose As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department. Shift In this role, you will work 6:00pm-3:00am (including weekends/holidays) Principal Duties & Responsibilities Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectives Supervise assigned staff to include: hiring recommendations that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; training; coaching; performance feedback, recommend and administer discipline, and scheduling Provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and process Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained Make routine inspections of all equipment ensuring that all equipment is in proper mechanical working order Assist in maintaining the inventory and record keeping for all dinnerware, flatware, and glassware Order china, glass, and silver Assist in monitoring temperature and chemical solution requirements for dish‑washing, pot washing and storage Requisition new and replacement equipment as needed Required for All Jobs Performs other job-related duties as requested Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Preferred Work Experience 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Required Additional Requirements Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Required Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement Preferred Experience working in a similar resort setting Preferred Bilingual; Ability to speak Spanish fluently Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of restaurant operations, such as opening/closing procedures, kitchen steward functions, and all materials and equipment used in the kitchen cleaning areas Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities, and obtain and manage resources Ability to lead and mentor a team Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts Physical Requirements A thorough completion of this section is needed for compliance with legal standards such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
