Clinical Care ProviderPerforms responsible clinical care in collaboration with the unit physician and under approved protocols, manages the medical aspects of care in the observation, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, evaluation, rehabilitation, care and counsel, and health teachings of persons who are ill, injured or infirm or experiencing changes in normal health processes; and in the promotion and maintenance of health of prevention of illness in a clinical setting.Provide primary health care to the patient and family throughout the course of care. Use the processes of assessment, diagnosis, management, and evaluation to provide care that integrates the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient and family. Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client and family. Plan, develop, coordinate, and provide appropriate health education and counseling in response to patient needs. Contribute to the advancement of the profession, seek to ensure high quality care within the RWSP, and demonstrate leadership skills in achieving improved outcomes for all clients and their families. Responsible for the health care provided and will utilize age specific developmental principles when providing care.Education & ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:2+ years clinical/nursing experience in Pediatrics in either inpatient or ambulatory setting.1-2 years ambulatory advanced practice provider experience in the specialty of the position you are applying.Spanish language fluency a plus.Minimum Qualifications:Master's in Nursing, FNP, PNP, or Master's in Physician Assistant studies.Licensed in the State of Texas with Board Certification.Physician AssistantEducation & ExperienceMinimum Qualifications:Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)No experience requiredLicenses, Registrations or CertificationsRequired:Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas Physician Assistant Board/Texas Medical Board (TPAB/TMB)Current students who have not yet completed their physician assistant program or recent graduates who have not yet obtained their NCCPA certification or TPAB/TMB physician assistant license are eligible to apply for this position.
