Overview
Registered Nurse - CVOR travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date: 06/22/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,378 to $1,471 per week. Guaranteed hours: 20 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the CVOR for adult cardiac cases, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
- Assist with case preparation, instrument handling, and maintaining a sterile, safe surgical field; support the surgical team and anesthesia as needed
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events in the electronic health record (EPIC), and communicate any changes to the team
- Manage equipment and supplies, including use of Omnicell for inventory management and instrument turnover
- Uphold patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; participate in room turnover and post-operative reporting
- Participate in on-call coverage as required (up to 7 days per four-week schedule, inclusive of one full weekend); willing to float to related CVOR areas if census is low

Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- 1+ year of CVOR or cardiovascular operating room nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate degree
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to work in a CVOR perioperative setting with adult patients; willing to float to other CVOR areas if census is low
- Shift availability aligns with two 10-hour days per week; on-call schedule as described
