Recreation Supervisor

Overview The City of Taylor is seeking a Parks and Recreation Supervisor with experience working with the public, managing staff, and delivering strong customer service. This is an entry-level, part-time position based at the Taylor Recreation Center and the Taylor Northwest Pool. Salary: $13.00 per hour. The supervisor will oversee day-to-day facility tasks, supervise and coordinate staff, and report to the Parks and Recreation Manager. Responsibilities Assist with scheduling and supervision of employees Supervise all programs while on duty Answer/return phone calls and schedule facility rentals Exhibit strong customer service skills Complete light cleaning tasks as needed Assist in programming and advertising strategy to enhance operations Ensure staff provide excellent customer service Physical Demands Stand and maintain energy for up to eight (8) hours Bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat to oversee cleanliness and assist with cleaning tasks Communicate effectively with customers, members, and staff Work hours to operate and manage daily/weekly tasks, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (as early as 6:00 a.m.) Ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments and extreme temperatures Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent Experience in customer service and management Skills and Abilities Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, facility guidelines, manuals, and staff instructions; communicate effectively with staff and customers Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, manage fees and balances Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret various instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Certificates, Licenses, Registrations N/A Equal Opportunity The City of Taylor is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr City Of Taylor Group
