Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides diagnostic imaging services by performing X-ray procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Ensures quality images are obtained while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images in accordance with safety standards.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of radiologic equipment.

Qualifications:

• Hold current certification and registration as a Radiology Technologist by the ARRT.
• Possess a valid radiologic technologist license issued by the NYSDOH.
• Have at least one year of general radiographer experience.
• Successfully complete an appropriate radiologic technologist training program, including military training if applicable.
• Maintain BLS certification (preferred).
• Exhibit strong technical skills and attention to detail.
