Job Opportunity

This position is for a registered nurse in Labor & Delivery, requiring the ability to float between units based on operational needs. The selected individual will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during their labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.

Shift Details

• 3x12-Hour Shifts
• Options for Mid (15:00 - 15:00) and Night (03:00 - 03:00) shifts

Essential Job Functions

• Floating between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and High-Risk Antepartum units as needed.
• Providing care for high-risk obstetric patients.
• Administering medications and blood products as required.
• Monitoring fetal heart rate and managing labor-related complications.
• Facilitating efficient patient care transitions across units.
• Participating in call rotations as scheduled.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards of care.

Work Schedule Requirements

• Availability for weekend shifts on alternating weekends.
• Participation in on-call schedules as necessary.
• 48-hour work weeks are approved with notice.

Facility Information

Total Staffed Beds: 418

Location: Multiple facilities including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, and Seaside, OR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Valid Compact state nursing license must be in hand at submission.
• Certifications required: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.

Skills Required

• Ability to manage high-risk deliveries and assist with various childbirth procedures.
• Experience in administering medication, monitoring patient status, and performing assessments.
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring systems and neonatal care.

Additional Information

This role requires a valid vehicle for transportation between facilities. Floating assignments may also include additional compensation for travel-related expenses. Travelers should be prepared to adapt to changing shifts and unit demands while maintaining a focus on patient care.
