Quick Facts: Location: Lafayette, LA Start Date: 03/04/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing/As needed Shift: Inpatient rounding, surgical consults, ER call coverage, 1 clinic day/week Hours/week: 15-20 post-op patients, approximately 90 surgeries/month Employment Type: Full-time locum Licenses/Certifications: Required; details provided upon application Experience: Relevant cardiovascular surgery experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (Note: Pay information appears placeholder; discuss actual package upon application) Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application; potential for sign-on bonus; work with a leading healthcare team What You’ll Do: Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults in a cardiovascular surgery setting Assist with procedures such as CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and aortic valve replacements Manage emergency room call coverage Participate in clinic work, averaging 15-20 post-op follow-up patients weekly Collaborate closely with surgeons and advanced practice providers to optimize patient care Contribute to a high-volume surgical program with approximately 90 procedures monthly What You Need: Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana Prior experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills Ability to work flexible hours including call responsibilities About the Assignment: This is a full-time locum role at a leading healthcare facility in Lafayette, LA, specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries.
