Compliance Attorney

Overview EcoShield, a leading pest control company, is seeking a Compliance Attorney to lead regulatory compliance initiatives across multiple jurisdictions and with a wide range of regulatory agencies. This full‑time, exempt position is based in Gilbert, Arizona, and requires in‑person attendance at least two days per week. Day in the Life of the Compliance Attorney The Compliance Attorney reports directly to Shield’s General Counsel and supports the Office of General Counsel by providing strategic legal analysis and guidance on regulatory obligations, managing regulatory inquiries and examinations, overseeing compliance workflows, and partnering with internal stakeholders and external counsel to mitigate risk and ensure enterprise‑wide adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities Lead regulatory compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions, including advising on state and federal regulatory requirements, monitoring regulatory developments, and driving compliance initiatives. Manage and respond to regulatory inquiries, examinations, investigations, and other escalated stakeholder matters, including overseeing document holds, review, analysis, and production. Conduct legal analysis and draft legal memoranda, correspondence, and responses to regulators. Supervise and provide legal oversight to one or more Regulatory Compliance Paralegal(s) and Legal Assistant(s), including review of work product, guidance on issue escalation, and quality control. Serve as primary point of contact for internal teams and Executive Leadership on compliance‑related matters, providing clear legal guidance and risk assessments. Coordinate and manage external counsel, including scoping work, reviewing deliverables, and tracking timelines and budgets. Support internal investigations by advising on legal strategy, evidence collection, and findings. Assist with development, review, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials. Identify and elevate material compliance risks to the General Counsel and recommend mitigation strategies. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with an active bar license in Arizona in good standing. Minimum of 5+ years of regulatory compliance practice (preferably in a consumer‑facing industry). Excellent legal research and writing skills. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and efficient problem‑solver with excellent communication skills. Proven track record of proactively identifying regulatory risk and driving practical, business‑aligned solutions from concept through execution. Demonstrated ability to design and implement compliance programs. Pay and Benefits EcoShield is proud to offer competitive pay and full benefits. Base salary range: $150,000 – $225,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 15-30% of base salary and additional executive compensation depending on experience.
