CNC Machinist – Aerospace Manufacturing

Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Pay Rate: $30–$45 per hour, depending on experience
Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM (+$1/hour shift differential )

We are partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturing company specializing in precision-engineered components and advanced manufacturing solutions. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to operate, set up, and maintain CNC milling and turning equipment while producing high-quality parts that meet strict engineering specifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented machinist with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality, safety, and precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
• Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, to verify dimensions.
• Follow production travelers and documented procedures to complete assigned work.
• Monitor machining operations, adjust feeds and settings, and verify finished products meet specifications.
• Perform quality inspections, document results, and identify or reject defective parts.
• Maintain inventory and accurate production records for completed components.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
• Work independently and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Strong mathematical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production documentation.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and follow established production procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with conventional machining.
• Experience operating Haas CNC equipment.
• Familiarity with Mastercam.
• CNC machine setup and programming experience.
• Formal machining training.
• Current or active security clearance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to eight hours per shift.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry 35–50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements and use hands for gripping, grasping, turning, and handling tools.
• Ability to hear and distinguish verbal instructions, equipment sounds, and machinery alarms.
