About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the senior physician executive, leading physician engagement and clinical quality at a 357-bed advanced care hospital. The CMO will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including clinical strategy, service-line development, medical staff office and physician governance, quality and patient safety programs, and regulatory and accreditation compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integration of care and standardization across the network. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned physician executive with an MD or DO, board certification in a medical specialty, and an active or eligible New Jersey medical license. A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience and at least 5 years in a physician leadership role is required, with a preference for candidates holding an advanced degree. The successful CMO at the company will be a hands-on, collaborative leader, capable of operating at the C-suite level while maintaining a close connection to the medical staff and frontline clinical teams. Key responsibilities include financial and operational collaboration with hospital leadership, physician recruitment and engagement, and partnership in GME/residency programs. The role demands a leader who can drive clinical quality, patient safety, and medical staff engagement, and who is adept at working across various sites to advance the standardization and integration of care. The CMO will play a critical role in the company's mission to provide high-quality, patient-centered care and will be instrumental in the continued growth and success of the organization.
