Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Analyst:
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and Risk-Based Capital reports
- Analyze general ledger activity and prepare account reconciliations
- Record and reconcile monthly investment activity
- Prepare financial reports for management, regulatory agencies, and state departments
- Support audits, reserve valuation schedules, and investment analysis activities
- Prepare monthly sales analysis, fixed asset schedules, and prepaid expense reporting
Qualifications for the Accounting Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Insurance industry experience is a plus
