You will combine deep technical credibility with commercial acumen to expand our footprint in key regional industries while leading and mentoring high-performing consulting teams. This position will require travel.What Makes This Opportunity Unique?Regional Leadership & Ownership: Take ownership of the regional market, shaping strategy, driving growth, and building long-term client relationships.Business Growth Focus: Lead market development efforts, develop a personal and regional book of business, and expand BSI’s presence across priority sectors.Diverse, High-Impact Work: Deliver and oversee complex safety and EHS consulting engagements that directly impact client performance and risk reduction.World-Class Clients: Partner with leading organizations in energy, chemicals, manufacturing, and infrastructure.Leadership Platform: Influence regional and national strategy while collaborating with BSI’s broader U.S. and global consulting teams.As a Principal EHS Consultant - Business Growth Leader, you will:Develop and execute a regional growth strategy focused on safety and EHS consulting services in the Southeast regionBuild, manage, and grow a personal and regional book of business through client development, cross-selling, and long-term partnershipsIdentify, pursue, and win new opportunities; lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and client presentationsServe as a trusted senior advisor to clients on safety management systems, regulatory compliance, risk management, and EHS performance improvementLead and oversee complex consulting engagements, ensuring delivery excellence across scope, schedule, budget, and qualityCollaborate with national service line leaders to expand multidisciplinary solutions (safety, IH, EHS systems, sustainability, and risk)Mentor and develop regional consulting talent, fostering a high-performance and growth-oriented cultureRepresent BSI in the market through networking, industry events, and thought leadershipSupport regional and national clients with estimated 30–50% travelWe’re looking for someone who:Has 15+ years of consulting experience in safety, EHS, or risk management within a professional services environmentHolds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EHS, safety, engineering, science, or a related fieldBrings deep safety consulting expertise, with the ability to integrate occupational health and industrial hygiene as part of broader EHS solutionsDemonstrates strong business development success, including at least 5 years of revenue generation, sales, and client growth experienceHas a proven record of growing markets, developing client portfolios, and driving sustainable revenuePossesses strong executive presence and credibility with senior client stakeholdersHas established relationships in oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing, energy, or industrial sectors (strongly preferred)Shows experience leading, mentoring, and scaling consulting teamsIs open to 30–50% travelWhy BSI?At BSI, you’ll be part of a global leader committed to excellence in Consulting.
