RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Nights
Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend
Unit Highlights:
- 44-bed Progressive Care Unit
- 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 when needed)
- EMR: Cerner
- Float to Step-Down and Med-Surg units
Required:
- Active RN License
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Neuro and Trauma care experience
Responsibilities:
- Neuro/spinal assessments
- Chest tube and PCA pump management
- IV infusions
- Lumbar drains
- Feeding tubes
- Blood transfusions
Equipment: IV pumps, SkyLift, patient lifts, chest tubes, trach care equipment.
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.
Ideal Candidate: Team player with excellent patient-focused care and strong neuro/trauma nursing skills.
